Its name “Les Chagnasses” comes from the name of the plots, which in the past were planted with small oaks.

Domaine les Chagnasses is a modest property created in 1963 by Jean Seynat, passionate about its terroir and winemaking processes.
 

He will pass on his deep attachment to his family and root his values at heart through the cultivation of vines.

In 1992, the Estate was taken over by Georges Abécassis, his son-in-law. This will evolve and modernize the operation while endeavoring to keep the spirit of traditional methods.

 

The wine produced will thus fully take its place in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation.

It was in 2016 that the grandchildren of Jean Seynat in turn took over the Domaine with the intention of developing it and recognizing it at its true value.
